How do I add and play an internet radio station?
Open the Radio panel, add a station, and provide its name and direct stream or playlist URL. Select the saved station and start playback. TrackRate supports direct HTTP streams and common station playlist formats such as .m3u8 and .pls.
A web page that contains a player is not necessarily the stream URL. If a station page does not work, look for its published listening URL or playlist file.
Can I organize or edit my saved radio stations?
Yes. Use the Radio panel to keep named stations, update a stream address, or remove a station that is no longer useful. Give stations recognizable names that include region or format when several versions exist.
Stream providers can change addresses without notice. Updating the saved URL is usually enough; the rest of the TrackRate library is unaffected.
Why does a radio station fail, buffer, or suddenly stop working?
Internet radio is operated by independent providers. A station may be offline, geographically restricted, overloaded, or using a changed URL or unsupported web wrapper. Test another station first to separate a TrackRate playback problem from a provider problem.
If only one station fails, obtain a fresh direct stream URL. If all stations fail, confirm internet access, the selected audio device, and any firewall or VPN rules. TrackRate cannot guarantee the availability of external station directories or streams.
Do library filters, ratings, or playlists affect radio playback?
No. A live radio stream is a separate playback source and is not a collection of local library tracks. Library search chips, ratings, tags, playlist sequencing, file analysis, and gapless trimming therefore do not select the station’s songs.
Switch back to the database, playlist, or Mixer source when you want TrackRate to choose among local files using those tools.
